Tax are done "let the shopping begin"
after getting our taxes done it looks like the marriage thing helped out our return. I have been wanting a new shotgun for the last couple of years and now I have the dollars to get one. I have been looking at both the SBE2, vinci, and the X2.
I have shot the X2 and SBEII. i didn't prefer one over the other. My real question is the Vinci has anybody shot one and how does it compare to the SBEII? I'm not worried about the 3 1/2" capabilities since I have a 10 ga. bps pump. Just wondering if the Vinci is worth the extra money or just stay with the SBEII or the X2, and find the best deal.

Do you mean the X3 Winchester?
I was at Reeds this weekend checking out guns. The new Browning Maxus was being highly touted there, but I didnt like the foregrip on it. Kind of an odd shape, but something you would get used to over time.
I was considering a Vinci for next year as well, but after doing some investigative work, I think I am more confused on what direction to go. Lots of awesome guns out there.

.... oh, X2 Beretta.....
That one I ruled out for one reason. I hate the size of the foregrip on that one. Way too "bulky" feeling.
The guy at Reeds gave me info about a big gun shoot they have every spring at the Game Farm/Gun Club up in the Little Falls area.
Its April 17-19.
He said ALL gun makers have reps there.
Go to the booth, ask to shoot a gun, and go fire off a half dozen shots or so.
Thats all guns. Shotguns, handguns, rifles, "assault weapons"..
I am going!

That's to bad, I'm actually a little ashamed at the amount of money that we are getting back. we will be changing our with holdings on our paychecks. So the Govt. doesn't have our money any longer then need be.

We'll see how things pan out as the date approaches.
I need to pic a date to take the boy turkey hunting, and I am pondering opening season. So I may be at the cabin already.
A little early summer action might allow for some field busting too.
SPRING TIME!!! WOOHOO
Too early to tell what the plan will be just yet.

the X2 seems bulky to me as well (and a bit heavy) but those things are reliable as hell. A buddy dumped his in the swamp duck hunting, found it later, ran some water thru it to clear out the sludge and worked perfectly. (obviously cleaned and oiled upon return to camp)
I personally love my SBE90! Never had an issue, smooth, and with my true glo choke in for turkeys, I have an excellent pattern for the gobblers which has allowed me to reach out and touch some long distance birds. (love it for upland and waterfowl as well)
Never shot the vinci so no help there....
Good luck on the purchase and pass on more info in regard to the vinci as you obtain it.

I would check out the Benelli M2. I have one in a 12 and one on a 20. They are awsome shotguns and super easy to take apart and clean.

I have the M2 in the 20. Love it.
Keeping my options open for a new 12 gauge though.
If I had 2 grand to blow, it would be on the Benelli Super Sport,,,,, but I have other things to spend money on too....

Go shoot them and see which one fits ya the best, I've kept my 870 for over 40 years now because no other gun feels like it fits like it does.
If you have multiple shotguns I'd think you'd rather not have to adjust to each gun, but have each so they each shoot with out adapting to them... imho
