Sturgeon Lake Ice Fishing Contest
Ice Fishing Extravaganza & Fashion Show on Sturgeon Lake, MN.
February 13, 2010
Contest is from 1 pm- 4 pm. Dinner, Raffles, Fashion Show, and Band (8 Foot 4) afterwards at Doc's Bar
and Grill.

Strat...find out some more info if you can....cost, species, prizes, entire lake or predrilled, ect....
I might be able to make this one but I won't know until Monday probably. Fish Island until noon and head to Sturgeon for the contest....

Just to clarify....the upnorth bikini team is a little different than the "bikini team" you are use to seeing.

Cost is $20....can prebuy tickets at Docs bar. This cost includes a lunch and I think he said a breakfast at the bar also.
Everyone will be fishing a designated area near the island. I think he said 8'-14' near the cabbage. It is one hole per person. If there are enough open holes you can fish 2 lines.
Fashion show.....the bikini team will do a runway show at the bar between bands.
The top prizes sounded pretty good.....7 day trip to LOTW, Mille Lacs guided trip, weekend on LOTW, cash, ect.
This sounds like a hell of a fun contest! The guy I spoke to said he has recieved a ton of good feedback and hopes to take it up a notch next year!
There is also a chance at $30,000 if you catch the right fish. The way I understand it is....if the winning fish matches the "mystery fish" in an envelope...you win 30K! Example....the "mystery fish" could be a pike between 40"-41".
I believe the proceeds go to the fishing for knowledge group www.fishingforknowledge.com.
