Vikings To Look At McNabb If Favre Retires?
27th January, 2010 - 7:07 am
ESPN - ESPN's John Clayton reports that Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb will be Minnesota's top target if Brett Favre opts to retire.

Clayton added that the Vikings may be willing to part with a second round pick in order to acquire McNabb.

McNabb has a history with Vikings head coach Brad Childress, who coached under Andy Reid in Philadelphia.

Also, Minnesota's quarterback coach, Kevin Rogers, was McNabb's quarterbacks coach at Syracuse. [READ]

I don't feel bad for him. Football is a business just like any other pro sport.

No doubt, he had his chance. Unless he's spending it like a starter its not like he's on food stamps sitting on the bench.

Just think T jack and Favre have something in common. There last pass of the season was an Int to end the Vikings hopes at advancing in the playoffs. Why is it alright for one to do it and not the other? T jack will be back next year in Purple!

It isn't alright for EITHER of them to do it. The difference is T-jack sucks and Farve doesn't (as a QB in the NFL)

get T-JACK outa here, like ya said he had his chance and i dont see him doing us anygood in the future. i would much rather see them spend the money on a good solid qb if farve retires.

I was mostly being sarcastic about feeling sorry for him. I do a little because I have a strong feeling he was told he would work under Favre and then get his chance. that is the way it seemed anyway.. I'm not sure he'll get another shot. Even if he is good (which hasn't been proven), he isn't a leader yet. I'm not sure how long or if he could be a leader, but we need to make a run soon if we are going to the superbowl. We would be better off trading up and try to get Bradford or Clausen (maybe even McCoy who we probably wouldn't have to trade up for). Or try to get a good veteran that has a few years left. Mcnabb is pretty good and has a few years left and is a good leader.

Best scenario I see - pick up Bradford or Clausen and get Favre back for 1 more year. you never know...

Sounds like kevin rogers might be heading over to the bears to be a offensive coordinator?

yea i was talking to a fellow at job site about that...he said well tj was listening on headphones ...i did seen that also but he wasn't listening to farve more to playcaller!
So i thought sage wanted to learn more from farve than anyone else! So we might have a better qb than tj already...?
