My buddy was shotgun hunting and only 150yds down a slanting tree line. So i'm playing deal or no deal on my phone and decided to stop playing the game after a few minutes of losing the game. So i start looking around to see if there was any movement and i looked over my left shoulder and thought i scene a buck bedded in some thick stuff. It was a little widy so i thought it was the yellow grass blowing back and forth. So i keep staring at it for 5-10minutes and keep seeing just the rack. then finally he lifted his head and looked in my direction. I gave a challenge grunt on my call and he came out within 20yds. perfect shot but he continued to run down the tree line where my buddy was sitting and then i heard my buddy shoot once. I watched the deer go down before my buddy shot and i get over to the deer and look at his rack and my buddy shot off two points. i was so ticked off at this point that i said i'm going back to where i shot the deer to see if theres a doe in there and i'll push it out to you. i was right he was with a hot doe in the thick stuff and thats the second deer in the pic. Total of about 40minutes of hunting and two deer down. So in all rights this deer should have been a 8pt with a 14" inside spread, but now i guess it's only a 7 pt with a 14" inside spread. Still a very nice buck and a cool hunt.
This is going to be my winning story for the block target.

yeah i'm checking on that for you ole. I have to see if i still have the demo boxes of bolts from easton, if not i can get you a gift card to easton from the rep. What do you shoot carbon or aluminum? As for everyone else shooting a compound the shafts will be carbon.

Da-uh? Space out?

Yeah, I just stare at my desk; but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch, too. I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work

Well thanks for everyone who responded. I'm actually feeling really generous and giving away two half dozen easton arrows.
Winner #1 is Haywood
Winner #2 is Uncle Smash
I have some other stuff to give away also i found while going threw totes of new gear i've collected this past season. As soon as i figure out what I all have everyone who responded will get something. Might be a grunt call, some camo hats, scent control products, or other misc stuff. Thanks to everyone and it was a good season. Hoyt and i held it strong until nova and three pulled a head with the big boy. GOOD JOB ON THE WIN GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!
