Bang'n bulls and slabs again...

The morning started out a bit weird...A 1/4" of ice had Joe and co. way behind...turns out Mike's bud came in to town to pick me up.It was a slow start to the day but once we hit the ice it was hot...not the rain or the snow that pelted us all day but some nice fish as it turned out.
Tod ay was also a day of Dan's...I'm thinking there were 3 of them today...all great guys for sure.
1 Dan had said he caught the biggest gill he's seen.Sounds like a personal best once again...yehawwww!

It was a wet day...I did hear of a 10.5" gill getting caught and anothe Dan drilled a few sumo perch...all fish today were caught on T.H.E. Jig!

Well day 2 of the weekend and what a great half day it was.Half because wismitty had to go back to Sconi and the Vikes play today.
So we get out there by 7:30 and the bite was on immeadiatly.Dan and Matt was already out there giving THE Jig a workout.
Here's Matt with a beauty gill..

Thanks guys....starting to think about late ice but we are a good month from when that time starts.
Don't feel bad Guild....there are a bunch of lakes up here that have been over fished to the point of only small fish being caught. It takes some poking around to find fisheries that have some quality fish ,but one must remember if we do not release a vast majority of these nicer fish the fishery will go the same way of those that have small fish.
