Rum Report
Was out on the river from 10-2 on Saturday. Fishing was very slow - we landed two fish a walleye and a big pike (8 lbs 11 oz). Had a number of hits on frog but fish were slapping at it so missed all but the pike. Most everyone else reported the same results that we chatted with. Live bait guys reported good morning action that day though. Water temp was still 69 degrees and water was as clear as I have ever seen it.

Wish I knew someone who would've like to eat it.....that thing had to be capable of eating a 2 lb smallie so it would've been nice to get it out of the river but did not want to kill it for no reason even if it is a nasty stupid creature.....;->

That big ol pike will take out those suckers that are abundant as well. Lil pike tick me off, but the > 24" pike have their purpose too.

So far pretty good - give me a call when you have a chance. Only fished a limited area but included some of my better spots this year. Thinking AM or PM?
