    Lastnight's Waverly lake tournament

I was very disappointed by what I saw on Waverly lake lastnight. Apparently a "West Metro Fishing Leaugue" conducted a tournament on Waverly Lake yesterday afternoon. I saw some poor etiquette on the part of the fisherman, but what really irratated me was their shoddy weigh-in at the end. I've been to weigh-in's at Lord Fletcher's before and was impressed; but really, people, use decent bags, and keep the fish in the water as much as possible. I was taught to handle fish properly and not stress them so much, so as to keep the mortality rate at a minimum. I wish they would stick to larger lakes also; I hope it's a long time before they return.

I think they've fished Waverly 2 weeks in a row. I saw them out there last Tuesday too.

Do you know how they did? Looked like they have about 15 boats.

    Brett,
The bass fishing on Waverly has been tremendous. That group consisted of 12 boats for a three hour tournament. My family and I went to their weigh in. Lots of nice fish. They sloppily released them into the bay after weighing in. One guy had nineteen pounds in his bag. We know Waverly well, so when we would catch fish, they would move right in. They did not impress me and set a bad example for my son.
We went back out this afternoon, caught some smaller bass. I'm wondering if the bass that survived are still stacked up in the bay. I wish tournament fishermen would stick to larger lakes, but the word is gettiing out about Waverly.
