Bob,

This is long over due. I saw Jon the other night and we were sharing stories about our adventures and I realized I never got the the chance to tell you what a difference you had made in my life when I was growing up. I always looked forward to our fishing trips, the fishing was fun but the camaraderie is what I cherished. You always treated me with respect and kindness and that is something I will never forget.

One time that I always remember was at dusk on a lake I don't remember, we were discussing Arizona and how it would be to live there. I looked up and a flock of geese in perfect v- formation flew overhead. I remarked that you would never see that in Arizona. It was understood without speaking that you also shared this love of nature and the experience of Minnesota outdoors. I think of that moment often, as nature always brings you back to good times.

I also thought it was important for Jon to hear the stories and share my respect for you. I believe Jon was taken back a bit as he never knew how you impacted my life.

Jon is my oldest son
