    Kabatogama & Namakan

Looking for any information from anybody who has done well for LARGE Pike on either Kab. or Nam.

Any info on time of year, baits, and locations is helpful. Also has anybody ever vertical jigged in deep water for Pike?

If you don't want to post here drop me a pm.

    Thanks guys!!

Start shallow in the spring with dardevels/spoons on days when the fish are more agressive...otherwise go with soft plastics/Jig combo's for times when fish are more sluggish...look for developing weeds...Pike will be very close by...hold off on deeper fishing until mid-summer when water temps start to peak...like July/August....then is Spetember there is a shallow water movement again...Pike like the flash of lures and very hot colors. remember Pike have poor vision give them something they can see....

    my 2-cents....

I've done good in Hammer Bay in the past. Also Swanson's bay down into Sand Point a bit. I've always been a fan of large spinnerbaits. I've tried hard baits like believers and jakes (dedicated Muskie tackle) with mixed success. I like fishing weeds, so those stay in the box most of the time.

Alligator Bay, down into the King Williams narrows, has been awesome early in the year before it gets choked out with weed cover.

Havent fished Kab much, I always come into the chain from Crane Lake.
