Thanks to Ruda for putting on a great league this year and Jason and Steve for all of the help with the league. Also thanks to everyone that fished this year, it was a lot of fun and I look forward to seeing you all again next year. Congrats to Scott & Shannon and Scott's wife for a great finish as well as Andy and John.

Thanks to Abu Garcia, JR's Tackle, Berkley, and Case for all of the prizes. We had over $2000 in prizes for the year and we greatly appreciate all of our sponsors.

We will start a new thread where you guys can give suggestions for next year to help us improve on the league.

Diito the comments above. The sponsorship prizes from Berkley, JR's, and Case were very generous and really a nice perk to those participating in the event. Kudos to Rob and Jason for their efforts in securing that sponsorship. Also thanks to AnglerInsider (aka Dan) for the plaques which he donated to the first place finishers and top 3 overall teams.

The feedback on this year's league has been very positive, but I'm sure we can make it even better. The "bonus point" format with extra points awarded for any species was kind of fun. It didn't seem to make a large difference in the standings, but it certainly could in some instances.

Hope to see you all back next year and we'd like you all to recruit a friend or two to join also so we can grow the league to at least 15 if not 20 teams.

A big congrats to Dan/Steve for their league victory and remarkable consistancy with two 1st place, and two 2nd place finishes!
Thank you to the sponsors for their generous contributions. Again, thank you to the officers for a well run league. My wife was amazed how friendly everyone was...she has fished with me in other leagues that have looked and felt much different. To those who have been turned off to league fishing by negative experiences, I would recommend this league.

Thanks Scott. You and Shannon and your wife provided some very tough competition. Except for a slow start on the Mississippi River event in May, you guys were right there every time with two limits of fish and a handful of species points. After finishing well behind your team in 2007, we knew we couldn't afford to have an "off" day at any of these events.

My thanks to Rob, Jason and Steve for doing a great job with the league as well. Thanks to Berkley/Abu Garcia, Case and JR's the door prizes were great fun and added excitement to the weigh in even if you had a bad day on the water.
I look forward to finding a full time partner for next years league, and also changing the rule about sub's not being eligible for the big prizes.
Scott is very accurate in saying this is a very friendly league, The fishing is serious but before and after everyone is talking and having fun. I too highly recommend this league! -Brent-
