Here it is the opening weekend of the Muskie season in Minnesota. This should be a record year for big fish not only on Vermilion, but state wide.
Fished with the wife yesterday and moved a number of fish. We had one come off on a glittertial, but were otherwise unable to boat a fish.

We found most of our followers on points and rockwalls immediately adjacent to spawning bays. We did not see any real giants, but all were 40"+ fish. We threw #8 glittertails and some of Dadson's new blades most of the day. I did try some topwaters, but they failed to interest any Muskies.
