Abu Garcia Repair
Where can I get a reel repaired here in the cities?

It doesn't look like they have an "official" service shop anywhere in MN. Their site says you can ship them back to the main service center in Spirit Lake, IA.

You'd think someone in town can fix them though.

I believe you could bring into Jr's in Brooklyn Park. I've done that in the past. They have someone that does reel repair.

Wayzata Bait used to service their reels. I will check with my brother and find out for sure if there is anyone in the metro. what kind of reel?

Wade, I just got a text back from one of the reps and he said to take it to wayzata bait and talk to Tim.

Which Abu and what is wrong with it? I just tore an ambassaduer down today, cause the worm gear on the line guide wasn't working. Cost me $4 to fix and I have found several sites that have every part you can need. AG's website has schematics on all of their reels as well.
I was wondering why the frisbee kept getting bigger. Then all of a sudden it hit me

Best place in the Twin Cities Metro area is Dick Danz at Angler's Paradise. He runs his business out of Trails End Bass Pro Shop in Fridley. I repair all of my own reels, but many times I rely upon them for parts. He carries hundreds and hundreds of parts in stock for all of the big reel names out there (abu, shimano, diawa, pflueger, etc, etc)

Agreed with AM. I like Tim at Wayzata, but Dick's the fastest repair guy around. And he does a great job.

I got a little overzealous and starting looking at it myself. Now I have a bag of parts. Know anybody that rebuilds Abu's ?
