OK...on to Coon...
Maybe a bit early but I'm trying to find where we are going to launch at Coon?

Looks like there is only two but I don't know which one. I have never fished Coon. I would guess which ever one has more parking spaces.
Boat Access:
■DNR Access is located on the north shore of the west basin, just west of the narrows. To reach this site, turn off Anoka County Road 22 (Viking Blvd.) at Thielen Blvd. N.E. and go south to the access.
■Anoka County access is located within Coon Lake County Park. This facility is located on the eastern shore of the east basin, just off Lexington Ave. North (County Road 17).Mike Debner

A couple of years ago when we fished it we used the access off of Viking blvd (cty rd 23). Water was pretty high a few weeks ago so I am not sure if we can beach boats like we did then. if we can't beach there we will probably use the access at the since there is a spot to beach by the swimming area. I will check it out next week and post a decision then.

Al,
I was out there on Sat with Jason and we checked out the areas around the launches for doing the weigh and the water is up about 2 feet from when we fished it a couple of years ago so the site we used for weigh will be difficult to use because there isn't much room to beach boats, so we would have to pull boats out of the water if we did the the weigh at the access off of Viking Blvd, which is the better access to launch out of, the other access is shallower. I will discuss with the other officers and get something decided by mid week.

Great, no big deal but Teng and I are going to try and get out before and it'd be nice to use the same launch.
