    replacement seats

I'm replacing the bad wood on my boats benches. Was thinking about using composite decking. Anyone think this is a bad idea for any reason. Im asking cause I haven't seen it done before.

Some of that composite decking gets really hot in the sun, other than that it sounds like it could be a good idea to me....

are you carpeting over it? If so, the only thing would be that it would cost about twice as much as treated. If you are carpeting over it, I would check out the Indoor/outdoor rugs that Menards has for sale this week. They are the same exact carpet as the mid grade marine carpet, but because they are selling them as s "remnant" they are less than 1/2 the price
I was wondering why the frisbee kept getting bigger. Then all of a sudden it hit me

No carpeting... I just prefer do do something once and forget about it. Treated lumber still needs to be stained, then stained again in a few years. I picked up some composite decking on sale from Home Depot and it cost about 3 times as much, but in the grand scheme that extra 50 bucks should save me a lot of hassle later, I hope. Some of the composite has horrible reviews when used on decks, but its mostly cosmetic.
