    Hey guys,
I'm on vacation this week so I can catch up on my time on the ice. I was passing some time on AI on the Wright County forum since I live in Waverly, and didn't realize what a vast amount of information can be found by reading older posts! I am very grateful to live where I am...close to work in the metro and close to where my family wants to settle!
Have a great day my fellow sportsmen and women!

I hear ya Mike! My wife loves the Uptown. The Grillhouse is supposed to reopen this month also! I see that Howard Lake has quite a shanty town set up on the north side. I'm going to focus on French Lake and Pleasant lake over the next few days. According to The DNR Lakefinder there is a nice population of pike in these lakes. I've enjoyed time on Lake Francis also. The County line runs right thru that lake.

There are catching crappies on the northeast side of Howard but not much size. If you caught one the cracks the 10" mark consider it a good night.

Did you just say they brew house is opening soon?? That place was awesome, I loved their 'home' brew. Not to mention pretty neat atmosphere. Waverly is a good place to reside, plenty of fishing holes waiting to be checked out. Don't be afraid to head down some gravel roads and check out some of those smaller lakes with an access either. Have you had any more luck on Waverly Lake? We've tried only a few times but have had a hard time getting the fish to bite. Our house is up on the north end, just west of the treatment center.

Yes the brew house is opening again. A couple locals bought it. One has very good restuarant management background and will have that place up and running in no time. I don't know if I can disclose names but it will be back open soon.

It's good to hear there is some action on Howard lake. Yes, the Brewhouse was purchased by the lady who owned Sunni's Grill in Howard Lake; she sold that to one of her employees. she acquired the Grillhouse at a fair price so hopefully she'll be successful.
I was wondering how the bite was on Lake Waverly. There has been quite a bit of pressure this winter on the two good spots. It would be nice to see more CPR on Waverly for conservation's sake, but that's just wishful thinking. I was told by a business man in town that the crappie bite is good every other year and this is supposed to be the good year.
