My 2 new hunting buddys!
Its been almost 2 months since we had to put our 15+ yr old Golden Retriever down. The plan was to go to the game fair, look around at the different pups and pick one up. The mistake I made was that I took the whole family down to the breeder to pick up the do. Well long story short, he had 2 Golden Retrievers left, one light colored and one dark colored. We took a vote and were split. With 2 girls starting to tear up and the wife in my ear saying we can't leave one behind, I purchased both
Here they are:

Looks like a lot of fun, food, poop, training, etc.
Good looking pups though. Mine getting near the end and I love having them in the puppy stage.

HAAAA.
Well I am guilty of being a softy myself.... Our new pup has pretty much opened the door to another dog very soon I think....
To be honest, if I could support about 4 more dogs like the new pup, I would be ALL OVER IT! Except I wouldnt want to pay the price I paid for this one... LOL

Nate, the pups get sent back down to the trainer the beginning of November. Should be ready for a late season hunt. I am not expecting much but sure will be nice watching dogs flush the birds!

Can I ask were you are having your dog trained?
What Determines a trophy?............Just ask the person who is pulling the trigger or filling the livewell!

I made a quick 1 day trip down to Fillmore County to do a little fly fishing. Due to all the rain we've been having most of the streams were high and muddy so I spent half of the day driving around...
