    First Camping trip

The weather did not deter us at all. We were loaded up by 11:00 and on our way out to the launch. We got to the launch and dropped in the boat and started heading for the campsite Saturday around 11:30 a.m. The wind was howling and the sun showed it self at random. Besides the wind the day turned out to be nice. WE shot down river and got to camp, setup and headed back out to do some carp'n. The Miss up here is still very shallow and if i had a prop the odd's of us being out there are not good.

I didnt even try to scout for another place, we shot out to the sand bar below a group of islands that are managed for goose breeding and wildlife. We saw 2 deer swimming across the main channel to get to the islands and then we saw them running from island to island like they were playing some kind of game..

Well i grabbed a beer and a chair and we started:

Wasnt too long before the little eyes came in:

    Then the suckers moved through:

The girl had one carp on the first day and ran hard:

My dog tried his hand at fishing.. He doesnt have thumbs so he wasnt to succesful..

We got back to the campsite and sat and had dinner and some barley pop's:

Had a chilly morning but all in all wasnt a bad night for sleeping. Between the Coyotes yelling,Owls screeching and the Geese giving it there best.. we slept just fine.

Had a beautiful morning Sunday.. Our smallest dog was ready to go

Old Man Sam was up and dressed befor any of us :

Had breakfast and headed back for some more fishing. Got there and setup abd before we were ready we had a double wit the suckers:

We sat on the sand bar until noon.. hitting carp and suckers with some random Eye's thrown in.

Looks like a great outing Jay. Always fun to fish the river banks with a camp fire going. What a relaxing time it had to be.
