3 days with many fishers including Lance and Pat's fan

Fri. night came and went with nothing to show for eyes.
Boone,Doug,Chris,Nick Mallard and myself hit a local lake for a quick shot at eyes only we did not get a fish.
The next day we worked a tough bite .Tod showed up from Chi town along with a few other guys. It was one of those days were you really had to work hard and get lucky to find aggresive fish.

Here's Tod doing his best to tag a slab or gill.

We did manage a few and really for me it was great just to have everyone together.

Mallard got the big crappie and Boone took the big gill.

Sat. was a different....we hit a different lake and to start we struggled to locate fish but after a ton of holes we found them.We also had to move a few times with the school to stay on top of them.
We paired up in teams. The slot was 8.5"-10 on gills and 10-13" on crappies.
Chris and Nick took it with a full limit.
Chris & I split on the big slab and Lance scored with the big gill.
There were several nice slabs caught throughout the day.

...of coarse there were some dinks too, right Nick?

With cash on the line not to mention bragging rights the
    guys were working hard...

..of coarse we had to eat right?

    Here's Lance's pig gill...

...if I had to guess we caught near 300 fish on Sat.
Tod and his buds left but we ended up with Lance Tim(pat'sfan),crappies spence & Ryan joining us. for sat's romp.

Sun. was another workout.I know I drilled a good 50 holes or better for Lance Tim and Mallard.
Outside of the 1 hour I was running and gunning looking for aggresive fish.
Mallard caught the big crappie and I hit the big gill for a split.

I'm bushed ,but a good kinda bushed. The nights were filled with laughter and a great poker game ...yes I cleaned house!Ya gotta love hitting the pot on in between when to guys bust in front of you for 16.50 and 10 bucks...sorry for the rub guys.
    ...anybody need quarters!
We did steaks on the grill along with smoked steelhead covered in butter and brown sugar...yum!
looking forward to hitting some new water with Venom next weekend.Y'all have seen those trout he's catchin so Mallard and I are licking our chops.
Thanks to all that joined me for some great and yes hard fishing.

Great report.Nice looking gills, sounds like a good time.
Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door - that way Lumbergh can't see me, heh heh - and, uh, after that I just sorta space out for about an hour.

    Da-uh? Space out?

Yeah, I just stare at my desk; but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch, too. I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work

We should have done Lard on Monday ,but that's due to hindsight. Looking forward to your pics....make sure you get them up on CKO too please.
Talk is cheap...sometimes drilling holes and gunning them is needed to prove out yae or nay on the fish.
Monday was a workout for sure. It's easy sitting on stacked fish....hitting onesies and twosies is all together different especially on Sandy.

We show up to your house and you offer us dinner and a place to put the wheel house and in return you clean my pockets out on In Between.. There was no doubt you worked harder then us at getting fish on monday. Man did you drill some holes. I broke even with you on big fish money so all isnt lost

I gotta keep the fish fed to keep them coming back Lance....that was a dandy gill you caught, biggest of the weekend.
You can tell the bite is starting to taper off.
So now we will be relegated to the struggle for a few months until late ice.

It was great having you Lance and from what I can tell your one of the good guys! So why do you hang with Pat'sfan?
    Sorry Tim....just one last jab!

As too the holes...I wanted to find some active fish for you guys...besides how else am I supposed to keep my awesome physeek LOL with my day job being a desk jocky?
