    Brown trout report 12-7-09

After having a poor month of November for brown trout fishing the few times I was able to get out I was able to get out this morning with a few friends and catch some nice fish. It was a little cold to start off the morning but then warmed to about 33 degrees which wasn't to bad since there was little wind. We fished a river that I had never fished before and we ended up having a good morning. We landed about a dozen browns and one small coho. A few smaller fish but most were nice fat bigger fish. If was fun to get some nice fish on the float rod again and fish some new water!

Cool Andy! Looks like you have a good resource to tap down there! How big do they get in the rivers and how far from the lake do they go?

Wow those are pigs. I've never caught a brown or a salmon, just some 14" stocked rainbows.

It is a world class fishery at times. Most of the fish are under 10 lbs. but fish over 10 lbs. are common and fish over 20 lbs. are possible.
