Shouldnt be hard finding someone. It's a fun league and well worth joining, not to mention a great lake line-up this year.

I'd join, but live bait is no longer allowed, which is primarily how I fish. Allow live bait again, so those of us who fish for species other than bass can join in eh!

I'd love to do this again but I know I will be on Namakan for this first event on on the Columbia River for the last one.

I'm looking for a sub for the May 31 horseshoe tournament, Jeff can't make it. If you don't get hooked up you can fish that one with me. Also, both Jeff and I can't fish the June 21 Marion event so we have an opening for a sub team on that day.

The way the rules read, one team member must participate in order to count towards the overall points. If neither team member can be present for an event and it sounds like this will happen a time or two, I don't see any reason why another team can't enter that event in their place.
In answer to the earlier question of how many spots are open, my best guess is that we will have about 9 or 10 teams back from last year and should have 5 or 6 openings for new teams. Anyone who wants to fish that doesn't have a partner should let me or the other officers know and we'll try to help match you up with someone.djcuriousgeorge2000@yahoo.com

In the same boat you are Tom...well, not the SAME boat, but close..

I am looking to fish a few lower end tourneys but am unable to commit to a full season this year, to much else going on this year, next year will be better I hope.
So, if you find someone else who can't fish all the tourneys your planning on, maybe keep me in mind, you or anybody else for that matter.
fwiw, At 60 I don't get quite so obsessed and prefer the easier pace of the lower priced tourneys, I have been fishing since the mid 60's and have acquired enough experience to at least know water when I see it..usually.
I have my own boat, a 2007 185 Trophy Sport Alumacraft with a 150 Yammie, T-8 kicker and Terrova bow mount, this is my retirement boat the wife let me buy a bit early, thank you ma...
I fish for mainly crappies, walleyes, northern and muskies, with the occasional day sitting along the banks of the Mississippi fishing for carp.
So Tom or anybody who thinks they can put up with this old fart, keep me in mind.

Thanks Tom, I hope I wasn't stepping on Tom Jordans original post, it just seemed like a good place to add another body and if TomJ needs a partner I might be able to help.

I have also done MFL for two years ('04 & 06) and learned a ton. If I wasn't in grad school I would fill a spot for sure. It's laid back, pretty cheap and you learn a ton.
