Hey guys i ws wondering if anyone has fished lake williams in the cotton/canyon area? i was thinking about taking the snowmobile trail this winter just wondering if anybody has ever fished it and what you caught if you did. the trail to get there is right across fro mthe lake nichols public access....

How shallow is too shallow for a lake to ice fish on? And what should you look for in a lake to fish it for pannies? Also what are your guys favorite jigs/bait for pannies If anyone knows some good lakes aroung stillwater please tell me. Or PM me if you prefer

Any one here ever hit any of these events. The minnesota one is going to be in northfeild very close to my home town and i think i might put in a team 4 it and do the WI one also. There are 2 dates that are TBD still so you never know. I know it is way early but i cant wait 4 ice. So come on...

Well i was fartin around in the garage and i saw an ollddd cooler and some PVC pipe.(it was just big enough for my rod handles to fit through) I was thinkin of putting the PVC around the cooler and putting my rods in the pipe. Then inside of the cooler i'd put my tackle and other misc. stuff......

Made it out today on Clam Lake and Mudhen Lake over in Cheesland. Had to take a small boat over to the ice - about 15 yards to the ice. But once we got there, it was all a solid 18+". Fishing was downright bad. We couldn't believe it. Buddies had been hammering them there at both lakes all week...

Is anyone still fishing on Minnetonka? How is the ice? I drive by Spring Park Bay and Seton Lake every day, and I'm not seeing anyone out there. I was out on Phelps last weekend and the ice was good. I'm going out today and plan to try some shallow areas for larger fish.

Was out yesterday in the east metro and we still have about 2' of solid ice. A little water on top in areas from melting snow and about 3-4" of fresh snow. With the weather forcast I saw I would think we still have 2 solid weeks of good ice out there.

Fished Phelps Bay on Minnetonka yesterday from about 4:00 - 10:00. During the daylight hours the sunnies were freaking suicidal. I must have caught 75 - 80 of them. They were all your typical "Tonka Sunnies", most about 6", a few larger. I was in 18 FOW and fish were stacked up to about 8 feet....

Hey all... be careful out there. Ice is melting and causing issues. If it isn't a weak spot near pressure ridges (that are all but un-noticable soon), you may find yourself getting stuck. I would suggest foot traffic and ATVs here PRETTY soon...

Well I headed out from the west side this a.m. After driving through a foot of water for 50 yards or so I decided to chicken out. Went to the hump and turned around. Gonna hit 45 today.

I fished Minnetonka for about 2 1/2 hours tonight, from about 7:00 - 9:30. Caught about a dozen crappies. Tough bite, fish were definitely finicky. I did best on a 1/80 oz glo jig with a Loby Micro-Flie. Tried some larger baits that were totally ignored. Caught 2 fish @ 10", most were about 8"....

Hey everyone, I just got back from the lake. and me and a friend caught 12 crappies 10- 12". and 9 sunfish. I'll get some pic's soon. having problems putting on here. and there is 32" of ice. we was using wax worms to catch them. fishing the north east side. 32ft of water.
