  1. new boot stank

Got a new pair of rubber boots that say scent free. They're far from it. Any way to get that rubber scent off of them? I've had them outside for past couple weeks. Doesn't seem to be doing much.

  2. Goose and Duck Scouting

Have been out the last couple nights looking for birds in the Howard Lake general area about 5 miles in each direction. One thing is sure. There is no shortage of geese on the water and in the fields. One cut field must have had 300 geese on. I am a little worried about lake hunting with all the...

  3. Thumbs down Shell prices

Holy chit. Did anyone check out shells prices this year. I stopped at Gander yesterday to get some oil for the boat and wondered back to the gun department. $25 a box for kent faststeel. So after taxes $27 a box for shotgun shells. It keeps going up and up.

  4. 2011 Duck Regulations

What does everyone think about the new regulations? I think that it is a bad move to have shooting hours a half hour before sun up on opening day. No tradition left. The best part of growing up was sitting there opening morning was with my dad and grandpa eating sandwichs watching the ducks fly on...

  7. A few recent pics

Have a few cameras out but have yet to get much activity of nice bucks. Plenty of young bucks and a pile of does and fawns. Any idea how old this buck might be? That picture was late May. Season needs to be opened on T-wolves! These bears ripped camera down after they left. Not sure why...

  8. Scouting Pics

Did some road scouting glassing fields. I did see some small to medium sized bucks and got a couple pics of a nice one that was 20 yards away in a tall grass field. Got to watch him for about 5 minutes. He must have felt safe in those weeds. Not great pics.. Might have to give him a dirt...

  13. It's a boy

after coming to the realization that Toby's age, added to the fact that my daughter keeps over feeding him and he's kind of became accoustomed to being lazy, I got a call from my cousin that his Irish Setter may have hooked up with his English Setter. 8 weeks later, we added Tucker to our family. ...

  16. Bowfishing for carp

Has anyone been out yet around the Twin Cities looking for carp? I would expect there should be some fish in the shallows by now whether they're ready to spawn or not. I'm hoping to get out this weekend, but the weather doesn't look like it's going to be too good for bowfishing. Need the sun!

Well to start off the hunt to remember I didn’t get a turkey but had quite an experience with wildlife. 21. Is It Legal??

Just wondering what you guys think.. Is it legal to Turkey hunt the fall season while deer hunting the archery season? Like say if I were to do the archery deer season, can I bring my shotgun with the turkey loads to take turkey while deer hunting? Or take my bow to hunt deer, while turkey hunting?

  25. I was thinking about turkey hunting..

So I was thinking about turkey hunting and was wonder if its frowned upon using a tree stand to hunt turkeys? I mean, when I'm deer hunting in a stand, I see turkeys all the time and from what I can tell, turkeys don't look up while feeding or chasing hens so I would think it'd be a good setup vs....

If your cameras aren't out all year. When do you put them out? I'm planning on getting mine out in the next week or so. Freshen up the the salt\mineral stations too. Hopefully get pictures of more bucks before late October this year. Be fun to watch the antlers grow through out the summer.
