  1. SE Minnesota Trout

I made a quick 1 day trip down to Fillmore County to do a little fly fishing. Due to all the rain we've been having most of the streams were high and muddy so I spent half of the day driving around searching for some clear water to fish. I managed to find one small stream that was cloudy but...

  4. 1-22-11 Grindstone

Went out to Grindstone and it was a cold one. Fished from around 10-3 with 3 total guys and ended up with 4 rainbows. Fished mainly shallow, and used smaller spoons and tip-ups with small shiners. Definitely not the greatest bite, but from what most people get into this time of year out there it...

  7. Gooseberry falls June 11-13

I am going camping up at gooseberry falls from June 11-13. I am not a big trout guy, and was wondering if there would be some decent shore fishing anywhere for basically any other gamefish using medium tackle. Thanks!

  8. Split Rock river report

I took a walk along the old Split Rock river behind the house yesterday...mostly looking for any sign of suckers. I saw a fish take off from the shallows so I went and grabbed the daughters fishing pole from the garage. I tossed out a waxie in about 1.5' of water and caught this beauty on the...
