  2. Power handles for Abu's, Ect.

I just purchased a few 'power handles' or 'power cranks' for a couple of my Abu 6500's...I like them. The word is out that these larger reel handles help crank in Cowgirls, bulldogs and other oversized baits. especially with teh #10 Blades beimng the trend on busktail style baits lately. I...

This is a picture of the fattie I caught last weekend. This past Saturday, we were back out on 12 Mile. It took us a little longer to find the active fish, but once we did, the fishing was pretty good. We caught a lot more little fish this week, but still managed to keep more than enough to make it...

  6. Rainy Lake One Stop fishing report

I know its been awhile since the last report, but not much has changed in the fishing world on Rainy over the last two weeks. Walleyes can still be had on the reefs using leeches and crawlers on a Lindy rig presentation over 30-40 feet of water. The Big Northern are still hanging off the reefs too....

  9. Spearing

Say your spearing on a lake with a protected slot. How do you know what you can and can't spear? The few times I've speared its been on lakes that don't have slots. Looking forward to spending a little time in the spear house again this winter.

  12. Huge 'Tonka Muskie??

I got an email forwarded to me from a friend in Rochester. It's of a photo of someone who caught a huge muskie through the ice. The email claims it was caught on Minnetonka. From the photo I'd say it's about 50". Has anyone heard if this is legit? If so it's an incredible catch through the ice. ...

  18. Rush lake Fishing Report

Rush is kicking out some nice pike but you will have to let most of them go due to the slot. But it still is a pretty good time. 5-7 ft of water with jiggin rapaplas. Perch colored. Nothin like fightin a 6 lb pike on a rod and reel. Bring lots of raps you will lose a few even with 20 lb mono.

  25. Can you get too shallow for tipup Pike??

Just curious as to what you guys think. Can you get too shallow for pike in the winter? Anyone have...

  28. Duluth Reports from Fishermans Corner

Report from Scott at Fishermans Corner...... The good news is the slush is finally freezing up on most of the lakes. The snow on top is mostly gone so now the ice can get a chance to freeze normally. Pike lake has about 10"-12" of ice, perch action all day in 12-16 ft. the best. Walleyes...
