allright i need to know what i gonna look like for the opener on lake vermillion. i fish it evey year but am kind of a little nervous that i wont be able to fish the opener up there this year. please anyone that is from that area give me some feed back.

I know its been awhile since the last report, but not much has changed in the fishing world on Rainy over the last two weeks. Walleyes can still be had on the reefs using leeches and crawlers on a Lindy rig presentation over 30-40 feet of water. The Big Northern are still hanging off the reefs too....

Say your spearing on a lake with a protected slot. How do you know what you can and can't spear? The few times I've speared its been on lakes that don't have slots. Looking forward to spending a little time in the spear house again this winter.

Rush is kicking out some nice pike but you will have to let most of them go due to the slot. But it still is a pretty good time. 5-7 ft of water with jiggin rapaplas. Perch colored. Nothin like fightin a 6 lb pike on a rod and reel. Bring lots of raps you will lose a few even with 20 lb mono.
