Dan hopefully my buddy Andy (We were Crystal Connections in the Lets) can join you next year. He fished the FOM this year and they did OK, but did not have enough time to dedicate to prefishing.
I will talk to him and let you know.

Rob Fritze said he was very impressed with Minnewashta (just east of Waconia) when they fished it for the LETS tournament. The lake survey data looks like it's very heavy on northern and may be light on bass. We've talked about Forest Lake a number of times but have never scheduled a tournament there. I'd like to fish something out towards Annandale OTHER THAN Clearwater which we've fished several years in a row. Perhaps Sugar, Buffalo, Pelican, or Maple? Need help on which would be the best of these.
Nominations: Minnewashta, Forest, and the St. Croix river

One requirement is that the lake has access enough to support a 15 boat tournament. That is the problem with some in the Clearwater area, although I'm pretty sure Buffalo would be fine (added to the list).

I played golf with a guy that said Pokegama in Pine City is a great bass and pike lake and if we allow muskie next year he said they are huge. I have never fished this lake before, but maybe some of you guys have, and would have a little more info. How about something in the Chisago chain.

Buffalo would be good, Sylvia/Twin are also good bets. I know Washington also has some tournaments on it.

The washington out by Dassel. A lot of the tournaments series from Wilmar/Hutch to St.cloud use it a one of the big bass lakes. You can get to Stella by a channel which has smallmouth in it too.

now Waconia is :D... Let's try to keep these to 500 acres or larger. Marion was 560 acres and was big enough in my opinion... The biggest issue is landings - must have a landing big enough for approximately 20+ rigs (or combination of landings).

I beleive Maple would be to small. The access is not the best.

Minnewashta has been catch and release only for Bass for a couple years - ends March of 2006. Should have good numbers and size for bass.

How about Lake Sarah?

we were thinking Sarah last year, but the access wasn't large enough for 15 rigs... unless it has been improved since last year...
I'm up for going back to Rush in Chisago... that lake puts out some pig bass and loaded with pike too...

Rush is one great lake. They did impose a slot limit on northern this year. I can't remember what it is but it eliminates any big northern from being weighed.
I would go back there for sure.
