Well I just put away my trolling gear for the year as I know I won't be able to get back out before the end of the Laker season. It was a very good season for me this year on the Pond and I was finally able to upgrade from my old 17' boat up to a 20' this summer. In all I made it out on Superior 22 times this year, which was far ahead of the 15 the previous year. Got to get out with some new faces on board (some of whom could even catch non rough fish species;) ) and hooked back up with some old friends I hadn't fished with in 18+ years. This season was also special in that I witnessed my oldest son (age 6 at the time) bring in his first solo fish on the big lake.
Final tally by species was:
Lakers - 57, largest kept was 34" (couldn't revive it), largest released was 36"
Cohos - 31
Kings - 12
Atlantics - 1, 26"- released
Steelhead - 4 (all wild, all released)
Browns - 1
Walleyes - 21 (that was 9 more than the last two years combined)
Pike - 2
Longnosed Suckers - 1
Gear is all stored and now it's time to start looking for some fall Walleyes and Crappies closer to home. Can't wait until next season!
I should point out that those totals were for the entire boat, not just me personally taking that many, don't want to be accused of being piggish!
Here are some of the highlights from the last season. Unfortunately my PC crashed last week and I lost several pics that I hadn't backed up to a CD yet:mad: .

26" Atlantic Salmon. Not many of these around anymore since MN stopped stocking them. This one was released.
